Subway - Store open but said closing an hour early
6 comments
At 8:55pm arrived at store, still open but was told they were closing an hour early and wouldn't serve me. This is the second time in a short amount of time that this has happened to me.
The first time closing was 10pm but the doors were locked at 9:15pm. Both times I was trying to feed my family of six and had to go out of my way to get something else.
Very very disappointed! I am completely dissatisfied with the service especially after my entire family was able to walk in to the store just to be turned away.

At any Subway restaurant, it is a hassle for us to close early, and we only do it when we are slow. You see, most franchises are strictly enforced to stay open 90 hours a week if they serve breakfast.
When we need to close early, we have to call our local development agents, and notify them of us closing early, so that when we get our monthly Subway inspection, we do not get marked out of compliance for being open less than 90 hours that week. As for not serving you at 8:55, if it is more than 5 sandwiches to be made, it will take the employees past 9 o'clock, and that is when the employees need to put away the foods and clean up to be out of the store by at least 9:15.
OMG! a family of six??? close to half an hour before closing, you sir are an as/shole.
Agreeeeeeed
Oh no, the store is closing early, the world is ending!
Subways are franchises and the owners can do what they want. If they are slow, most close early.
