I was advised to lose 50 lbs. I chose Subway in my small rural town of ***, *** 47923. A sandwich tech making my daily footlong was wearing a strong musk perfume, which permeated onto the sandwich. I asked that they not make my sub due to the strong odor left on the product.
They were advised not to wear such strong perfumes to work, and I, as the customer, was singled out for the complaint. I ordered online; all month of April 2026, I ate from this store. Now in May, the tech I'm speaking of and a couple of others have decided they don't like me. So, on May 13, 14, and 15, 2026, each of my orders were returnable: 2 slices of tomato per 6 inch, hardly any onions (I always ask for extra), and so much mayo and honey mustard it was spoonable to eat the vegetables twice.
The worst was the 13th; I have photos. So much black pepper, the tomatoes were unrecognizable. The sub was inedible, and I took it back. They keep sabotaging my subs, so I decided I can't trust getting my food from that facility.
I want something done about it.

I frequently have purchased Subway footlongs at many different franchises. When we are residing in Arizona, I go to 10050 West Bell Road in Sun City, AZ.
Today, 5/13/26 @ 12:15 PM, I ordered a BMT footlong on my mobile, and when I got home with it, the bread was not what I ordered, the vegetables were missing except for lettuce, and there was enough chipotle to choke. My husband was hungry, so he took 2 or 3 bites, then said it was so bad he couldn't eat more. I took one bite and could not eat more. I took 3/4 of the footlong back to the store and explained the issue.
The young woman sneered at me and sarcastically said, 'I will make you another, but because you consumed some of it, I will never do it again.' She acted as if I was trying to get a free sandwich, which certainly was not the case.
I told her I didn't want another sandwich and would not do further business with Subway due to her attitude, to which she responded, 'Great.' We are elderly and have done a lot of business with Subway. The person who waited on me should have nothing to do with customers, as she is disrespectful and unpleasant.
User's recommendation: Stay away from Subway at 99th and Bell in Sun City AZ. The staff is rude and sarcastic.

- Cheese on 6-inch subs reduced from 2 pieces to 1 half slice.
- Cheese on 12-inch subs reduced from 4 slices to 2 half slices.
After Many Subway Sub Purchases, The Company Has Now Reduced Their Amount Of Cheese Placed On 6 and 12 Subs. They Used To Put 2 Pieces of Thin Cheese on 6 and 4 Thin Slices on 12 Sub.
They Currently Reduced it to 1 Thin Slice Cheese Cut in Half on 6 Subs and 2 Slices Cut in Half Into 4 Halfs on 12Subs.
Jersey [PERSON_NAME] Would Never Have Stooped This Low, Too Screw Over Customers. Subway Subs Have Hit A New Slimy Rock Bottom!!!

- Online checkout drains the gift card, shows $0, then charges the credit card.
- Support attempts via email/phone were unhelpful and hard to reach.
I received a $5 Gift Card. Online would process and deduct but then seek balance from Gift Card, which would then be $0, and not seek the balance from my already set-up credit card.
I would have to seek full payment from the credit card, and the gift card balance would return to $5. Subway online bot suggested to contact [EMAIL_ADDRESS]; they, in turn, suggested to contact Subway at https://www.subway.com/en-us/contactus/guestcare.
I posted a trouble ticket, then tried to reach them at [PHONE_NUMBER] and got their auto-voice attendant run-around. Apparently, I am to use on something that costs less than $5, then buy a sub separately.

When I try to log in, it says I already have an account and can't start a new account. After 3 years of using it, I'm very disappointed!

- Two Subway visits with poor prep and long waits; brown lettuce, no meatballs, and a tuna pan not wiped, risking cross contamination.
I was astonished at what happened at two different subways yesterday. This shows and proves that there is such a lack of care in these young adults, and I use that term 'adult' lightly.
My son and I went to the subway on Sierra Way in San Bernardino around 4 PM to get dinner; they weren't prepared. The lettuce they were giving us was bottom-of-the-pan brown. I had to literally tell her to please get me fresh lettuce, and I had to say it twice. I had to repeat myself multiple times while ordering the sub; she wasn't paying attention.
As if not having things stocked up and that wasn't enough, I asked for a second meatball sub for my other son. They told us they couldn't; they hadn't made any more yet. Here it was dinner time, and they had no meatballs made. I got one sub for my younger son and left.
When we left, the son I had with me, 17, said, 'Mom, that was unacceptable in there.' I said, 'I know, baby, I know.'
Fast forward to dinner time; I went to another subway, the one on Del Rosa, to get the sub I was still missing for my older boy, 19, hoping things would be better. This was just as bad for different reasons. They had the supplies, but they were more focused on orders coming in for delivery than they were on walk-in customers like myself. I was in there over 20 minutes—unacceptable.
The worst part was the lady ahead of me ordered two tuna footlongs toasted. The sheet pan they put the subs on wasn't wiped down or anything; tuna was all over it.
I saw her literally put my son's sub to be toasted without caring to wipe it down; without caring that tuna was there, the cross-contamination, nothing. Subway, as a whole, needs to be retrained on food, on customer service, everything.

- There are cleanliness concerns about money handling before making sandwiches and glove use.
- An employee over-seasoned the sandwich and blew pepper off.
There have been so many times ive watched Subway employees handle money then build a sandwich. Or not wash but put the glove on.
Touching the food with the open hand anyway. Or not properly wash their hands at all.
Its tiring having to watch for their cleanliness. Its tiring having to complain. I even offered to go to work for Subway(s) merely to teach required hand washing practices.
I told one young man he put way too much pepper on my sandwich. (Which he did). He leaned over and blew the pepper off my sandwich! Lol!
He was young. But it told me there is mo serious training when it cones to cleanliness.
User's recommendation: Be diligent regarding hand washing etc. maybe Subway will finally get a clue.

I enrolled in PissedConsumer and submitted a query. I got a reply, thanking me for joining the community.
But, it did not address my query or indicate when/if anyone would reply.
Before continuing, I am thoroughly disgusted at how Subway tries to hide from folks needing help. The chat takes one thru many loops, without getting to anything helpful. Ditto the messages one gets when calling. And, where I send this limits inquiries to one per day argh!
I repeat my query here.

I have multiple Subway paper e-cards I got via Costco. I successfully loaded them onto my phone app.
But, when I click on any cards within the app, their numbers appear but no bar or QR code. How do I use them?
