Subway complaint by Niceguy
My concern is with businesses such as AM/PM and Subway (there are probably a few more I could add to the list) that have this "sneaky" way of exchanging money with customers.

Basically, you give the cashier a nice, crisp twenty dollar bill, but he gives you a crumpled up old ten dollar bill (intentionally, I believe) and coins after your purchase.

You can't use such a bill in an automated money machine at a gas station, for example.

It is annoying to have to put an old, thin, dirty, slightly torn, semi-useful bill back in your wallet.

There are “quality” stores that never seem to this, you know who they are, such as, well, McDonalds, Round Table Pizza – not that I eat a lot of that kind of food….

I try not to go to the “crumpled-up money stores.”

Sometimes, I’ll politely ask for a newer bill.

Now, I’m on the look out for such sneakiness/customer abuse.

I can't just go in and order a sandwich and a drink without having to risk a confrontation over that annoying “bad bill” practice.

Such stores should remove any paper money that's significantly worn from their cash register on a regular basis and only exchange bills that are in decent condition.

If people buying at Subway didn't give them worn money, they wouldn't give it to you. Do you think they have the time to sort through the bills and decide what bills look nicer than others. Wish that was the biggest *** I had.
